Dwight C. Macero, MS, PA-C is a physician associate with more than 10 years of experience in oncology, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular therapies. Throughout his career, he has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings and held clinical roles spanning acute leukemia, genitourinary oncology, malignant hematology, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapies.
Dwight graduated from the Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Assistant Program in 2015 and began his career on the acute leukemia service at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Iriving Medical Center, caring for patients with complex hematologic malignancies. He subsequently spent eight years in the Blood Cancer and Bone Marrow Transplant Program at the University of Colorado, where he developed extensive expertise in hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplantation, and cellular therapies.
Most recently, Dwight practiced at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, where he managed patients receiving adoptive cellular therapies for solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and autoimmune disorders. He currently serves as a Cellular Therapy Medical Director in medical affairs for a cellular therapy biotechnology company, bringing a broad perspective that bridges clinical practice, cellular therapy development, and industry.
Dwight is excited to serve on the Association of Physician Associates in Oncology Board of Directors as Secretary and is committed to advancing the mission and growth of the organization. He is particularly passionate about professional development, mentorship, education, and advocating for the expanding role and contributions of physician associates in oncology. He looks forward to strengthening opportunities for oncology PAs and supporting the continued advancement of the profession.
